Obituary for Thomas C. Kurth

Thomas C. Kurth, age 75, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 8, 2018. He was the son of the late Charles “Jim” and Evelyn (Lotz) Kurth.

Tom was born on April 24, 1943 in Mineola, NY. He was a graduate of Suffern High School and attended both Clarkson University as well as Case Western Reserve. He worked for ten years at Corning Glass Works in NY where he had a patent on dealing with the process of building glass fiber optic fibers. He was employed for over thirty years at the former Foxboro Company as a Systems Control engineer and as a developer and designer of controls. He married his wife Barbara (Dewey) on July 2, 1977 at St. Catherine’s Church in Addison, NY.

Tom loved being on the water and sailing. He was a train model enthusiast and enjoyed electronics and building clocks. Tom was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Beloved husband of Barbara (Dewey) Kurth. Loving father of Lisa Ann and her husband Sean Quinn of Upton. Brother of Susan M. King and her husband Phil Chalmers of Rockport and the late Preston Kurth and his wife Michelle of Ft. Pierce, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 14 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.
