Obituary for Alan Emus

Alan Jackson Emus, age 64, of Mansfield, passed peacefully on July 6, 2018 at
home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Diane M
(Laracy) Emus for 42 years.

Born in Norwood, MA on February 27, 1954, he was a son of the late Melvin C. and
Margaret J. (Stahl) Emus. Alan worked as a foreman at CertainTeed Corporation in
Norwood. He was an avid fly fisherman and model train enthusiast. He liked growing
vegetables in his garden, was a New England Patriots fan, and loved his cherished
dogs. His greatest joy was in spending time with his grandchildren. Alan also served
his country proudly as a member of the US Navy as a Seabee.

In addition to his wife Diane, Alan is survived by three children, Jason Emus and his
wife Kristen of Mansfield, Michael Emus of Brighton, MA, and Rachel Emus and her
partner John Warfel of Maine, four grandchildren, Jonathan, Victoria, Benjamin, and
Mariella, two brothers, Steven Emus and his wife Liz of New Hampshire, and David
Emus and is wife Joanne of New Hampshire. Also survived by his father and mother
in law William and Mary Laracy of Foxborough, his brother in laws Paul Laracy and
his wife Martha of Norton, David Laracy and his wife Karen of Foxborough, Michael
Laracy and his wife Karen of Foxborough, Kevin Laracy and his wife Elizabeth of
Walpole, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 9th from 4
to 8 PM in the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A
funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10th at 11 AM in Bethany
Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock
