Obituary for Paul Nascenzi

Paul Nascenzi, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by the comfort of his loving family on February 17, 2019 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Sharon. He was the son of the late Felice “Phillip” and Marie (Renzi) Nascenzi.

Paul was born on October 6, 1922 in Providence, RI and attended Providence High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 97thInfrantry Unit during WWII. He married his wife Marie (DeGirolamo) on January 26, 1947 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon. He was employed as a storekeeper and machine operator for Plymouth Rubber.

Paul was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps prior to WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Sharon. He enjoyed coin collecting, trivia and geography. He also enjoyed bowling and gardening. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Loving husband of Marie (DiGerolamo) Nascenzi. Devoted father of Paul Nascenzi and his wife Julie and daughter Linda and her husband Steve Hammond. Beloved grandfather of Nicole, Corey, Justin and Bryan. Brother of the late Benny Nascenzi, Mary Riccio and Nancy Drury.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 21 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 59 Cottage Street, Sharon. Interment to follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
