Obituary for Harold Peter Curtin

Harold Peter Curtin, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI, surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Theresa (Hayes) Curtin and his parents Thomas P. and Anna (O’Connor) Curtin.

Harold was born on April 20, 1928 in Boston and was raised on Mission Hill. He was a graduate of Boston Trade High School. Harold has been a resident of Foxborough for over fifty years. He was a branch manager for RCA/General Electric in Providence for many years and most recently ran the PAT Testing Program at the Armory in Hudson, MA.

In his spare time, he always enjoyed an evening of dancing with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed boating and waterskiing at his summer home in Dunstable. A pilot and plane owner, he loved spending time at Mansfield Airport and was a member of the EAA in Mansfield and the AOPA.

Devoted father of Thomas J. Curtin and his wife Sandra of Mansfield, Paul E. Curtin and his wife Joanne of Attleboro, John J. Curtin and his wife Patricia of Attleboro and Dianne M. Casilli and her husband Brian of Cumberland, RI. Loving grandfather of Todd, Danny, James, Timothy and Mary. Great grandfather of Dillon, Emma and Tyler. Brother of the late John J. Curtin, Catherine Curtin and Dorothy DePalmer.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 16 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.
