Obituary for Eileen Duggan

Eileen (Ryan) Duggan, age 75, passed away September 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Kelly) Ryan.

Eileen was born on March 24, 1943 in Roscommon, Ireland and married her husband William on March 21, 1964 at St. Patrick’s Church in Watertown. She moved to Foxborough with her husband to raise their family in 1971. She was employed for 19 years at Mass Financial Services of Boston.

Eileen was a member of the Irish Music Club of Norwood and enjoyed attending dances at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton. She loved Irish dancing and taking long walks with family and friends. She was also known for her delicious Irish bread and chocolate chip squares. Eileen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of William J. Duggan, Sr. Devoted mother of Joan P. Eckstrom and her husband Douglas of Norton, Sheila M. Knoll and her husband Jay of Foxborough, Eileen E. Duggan of Foxborough and William J. Duggan, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Mansfield. Loving grandmother of Michael, Kristen, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, McKayla and Kayleigh. Also survived by eight brothers and five sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hour on Monday, September 17 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
