Our History

Our Great Grandfather, Joseph, started our business at the turn of the last century. He was the son of a flower grower and on many occasions had delivered flowers to families of the deceased. He felt a great sense of pride when he delivered flowers and wanted to do more to help people through the death process. The customs of funerals began to change from in-home services to outside the home funeral services, which eventually led Great Grandfather Joseph to build his own funeral home. In 1906, the business became incorporated. It is a true family affair - there have been four generations of Roberts' to run the business.

The old home was built in 1820 in the style of The Federal Period, and has undergone several renovations including additions and redecorating. The architecture serves as a reminder that we want to stay true to our time-honored values of yesterday.

Outreach through the internet helps us to preserve the values of the past while moving forward to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. We want to extend a comforting hand in your time of need, not only during the funeral process but also by providing support during the grieving process.
