Obituary for Karen Rau

Karen Rau, 52, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Foxboro, MA, passed away on June 26, 2018 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Colorado.

She was the daughter of Richard and Ann Rau of Foxboro. She is mourned by her family who loved her deeply, including her sister, Linda, and her husband Bill Linehan and nieces Morghan and Kelsey, of Bedford, N.H.

Karen graduated from Foxboro High School in 1983, and attended Eastern Nazarene College. She was a talented chef who started her career at the Charles Hotel in Boston, and continued it in Colorado at many fine restaurants. She spent a year as a personal chef on a private yacht. She loved to spend time with her cats, and also to fish, travel and ski the Rockies and Sail on Lake Granby in Colorado. She stayed a devoted New England Patriots fan despite being surrounded by Denver Bronco fans for over 20 years. She was happiest when on the water.

Karen chose to give the gift of life by being an organ donor and we know that more than one person received this precious gift from her.
