Obituary for Delora "Lora" Ann Moran

Delora “Lora” Ann (Kief) Moran, age 88, passed away on June 13, 2018 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lawrence P. Moran and was the daughter of the late Walter Kief and Alice Hanlon

Lora was born in Dorchester on October 24, 1929 and attended Boston Public Schools. She and her late husband Lawrence were married on July 2nd 1949. She has been a Foxborough resident since 1955. She was a retired assembler for the former Foxboro Company, with over thirty years of service. For many years she worked at the Before and After School Program for Foxborough Public Schools. Known by most as “Gram”, Lora enjoyed cribbage, reading and playing card games. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted New England Patriots fan and was a member of the Jolly Foxers Campers.

Beloved mother of Lawrence “Skip” J. Moran and his wife Diana of Attleboro, Mark E. Moran and his wife Carleen of Foxborough and the late Walter L. Moran. Loving grandmother of Veronica ”Ronnie” E. Welch and husband Thomas E. Welch, Kirsten S. Kennedy, Lawrence P. Moran, Stephen M. Moran and Mark E. Moran, II. Great grandmother of Joseph, Sean, Bryan, Salem, Gage and Creek. Sister of the late Ruth Wilson. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, June 19 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, N. Attleboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.
