Lorenna R. Cullen

Foxborough – Lorenna Rose (Welch) Cullen, died Friday, August 6, 2010. She was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Steeves) Welch.

Lorenna was born in Arlington on January 2, 1942. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston.

Lorenna was employed for the past thirty three years with Children’s Hospital Boston. Lorenna was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the piano, loved the beach and spending time in Falmouth. She cherished her grandchildren and family most and took great pleasure in sharing time with those she loved. Lorenna could often be found in her kitchen with her grandchildren by her side sharing recipes, traditions and a commitment to family.

Beloved wife of Bernard Cullen of Foxborough for 49 years. Loving mother of Bernard J. Cullen of Foxborough, Janice and her husband Mark Sugrue of Wrentham, Michael T. and his wife Collette Cullen, John E. and his wife Doris Cullen, Patrick R. Cullen, Sean P. Cullen and Steven P. Cullen, all of Foxborough. Adoring grandmother of eight. Sister of John Welch of Methuen, Warren Welch of Franklin, Mark Welch of Methuen and the late Edward Welch.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 9 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, August 10 at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.
