John "Jack" O'Connor

October 02, 1947 - October 27, 2017

Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather

Foxborough – John “Jack” Joseph O’Connor, age 70, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Jack was the son of the late John and Eileen (Hunt) O’Connor.

Jack was born on October 2, 1947 in Cambridge and was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School. He married his wife Jean (Dwyer) on May 23, 1970 at St. Peter’s Church in Cambridge. He was employed as a Telecommunications Technician for Cambridge Health Alliance and later for IT Tech.

Jack loved listening to the scanner and loved listening to Irish music every Saturday and Sunday on WROL. He and Jean enjoyed camping at Normandy Farms for many years. Jack most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of Jean (Dwyer) O’Connor. Devoted father of Brian and his wife Danae O’Connor of Attleboro and the late Mark O’Connor. Loving grandfather of Liam and Declan. Brother of Eileen Walsh- Guilfoyle and her husband Gary, of RI, Margaret “Peg” Dwyer and her husband James of Cambridge, Karen O’Connor of MA, Stephen O’Connor and his wife Dianne of MA and Patricia “Tricia” O’Connor of MA.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 30 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
