Foxborough – Joseph Warren, Jr., age 68, died on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Lucy (Hubbard) Warren.

Joseph was born in Brockton on January 1, 1943, and was a lifelong resident of Foxborough. He was a 1960 graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his Naval service he attended and graduated with an Associates Degree from Fisher Junior College. Joseph married his lovely wife Barbara on July 9, 1966 at St Mary’s Church in Foxborough. He worked until his retirement in 2007 as the Parts Director at Foreign Motors West of Natick. Joseph had a love for bowling. He was an active league bowler for many years. He participated in both the Men’s and Mixed National's for the last 15 years. He was an avid sports fan and long time season ticket holder who was thrilled when The Bruin's won The Stanley Cup! Joseph's love for traveling, brought him to many wondrous and beautiful destinations across the country. Joseph was also a member of the American Legion of Foxborough.

Beloved husband of Barbara L. (Kelso) Warren. Loving father of Joseph J. Warren and his wife Diane Medeiros of Stoughton, Derrick Warren of Foxborough, Robert S Warren and his companion Jessica Turner of Foxborough, Lucy G. Shumate her husband Jason of Taftville, Connecticut, Dorothy A. Carr and her husband Kevin of Whitinsville, Steven Groves and his wife Darlene of Foxborough, twelve grandchildren, one niece and four nephews. Brother in law to Cynthia Warren of Arizona and brother to the late George Warren and Lucy Gundersen.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 6, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 7 at 10 AM. Internment to follow at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
