Foxborough – Joseph Aristotle Jianos, age 82, died at his home on Sunday, February 28, 2010. He was the son of the late Aristotle T. and Mary (Clancy) Jianos. Joseph was born on February 6, 1928 in Boston and earned his BA in English at Boston University. Joseph proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps during the late 1940’s. He and his wife Jean were married in Boston on September 14, 1951. He has been a Foxborough resident for the past fifty fours years. Joseph retired from Verizon in 1990. He was an avid reader and loved engaging in lively conversations. A talented musician, Joseph was a member of the Stone Street Strummers of Walpole. Joseph was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Beloved husband of Jean (McLellan) Jianos of Foxborough. Loving father of Amy Wessman and her husband Robin of Norfolk, Jean Jianos Gray and her husband John of Great Falls, VA, Joseph Jianos and his wife Elizabeth of Foxborough and Georgia Kreth and her husband Steven of Westboro. Also survived by twelve grandchildren. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday March 4, at St. Mary’s Church, 53 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rockhill Cemetery, Foxborough.
