Marilyn T. Rivet

Foxborough – Marilyn T. (Donovan) Rivet, age 81, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. Marilyn was the daughter of the late Raymond and Laura (Dube) Donovan.

Marilyn was born on August 31, 1928 in Lawrence. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1945. She married her late husband Joseph L. Rivet on July 4, 1950 at St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence. She was a cashier at Heartland in Walpole and was employed at Commercial Union Insurance Company in Mansfield, retiring in 1996.

Marilyn was a Communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough and was a world traveler. She also loved a good yard sale.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Rivet. Loving mother of Joseph and his wife Nancy of Lyndonville, VT, Susan Rivet and Noreen Sherys, both of Foxborough and the late Kathleen Gleason and Michelle Rivet. Devoted grandmother of six grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 26 from 4 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 27 at 10 at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
