John W. Wurster

July 10, 1930 - February 29, 2012

Long Time Foxborough Resident

Foxborough - John William "Bill" Wurster age 81, died on Wednesday February 29, 2012 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Bill was the son of William and Blanche Lyons Wurster.

He was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on July 10, 1930. Bill was a graduate of Lansdale High School in Lansdale, Pennsylvania and attended Franklin and Marshall College, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Bill married Marlene (Westerlund) in Chestnut Hill Pennsylvania on January 14, 1956. Bill and Marlene moved to Foxborough from Nutley, New Jersey in 1968. He served his country in the U.S. Air force in the Korean war.

Bill was a sales representative for many firms including Philadelphia Wholesale Drug Company, Colgate Palmolive, H. G. Madden, Company, Kershner Sales, and culminating with Fieldstone Sales. Bill was also a republican state representative to the Massachusetts State Republican Convention. He had been chosen as the Foxborough Grange citizen of the year, was a member of the Foxborough Founder's Day Committee, member of Bethany Congregational Church and Bethany Church Financial Management Board. He also drove the Van-go Sunday Church bus.

Beloved husband of Marlene (Westerlund) Wurster. Loving father of Mark Elliot Wurster of Coventry, Rhode Island, Beth Ann Comeau of Lincoln, New Hampshire and Keith Allen Wurster of Hooksett, New Hampshire. He is also survived by many grandchildren

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday March 4 from 4 - 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 5, 2012 at 11 AM at Bethany Congregational Church 3 Rockhill Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, in Foxborough.
