Loving Companion, Father and Grandfather

Foxborough - Robert "Eagle" Eagleston, age 76 died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Bob was the son of the late Marion (Eagleston) Phipps.

Bob was born on May 19, 1935 in Cambridge. He has been a Foxborough resident for the last forty eight years. He was retired from Whirlpool Corporation on Walpole. He was the former owner of Eagle Appliance in Foxborough. He was an instructor at Bay State School of Technology in Canton. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and the Refrigeration Service Engineer Society. He enjoyed photography and spending time with his family.

Beloved companion of Mae Boyd. Loving father of Karen and her husband Bruce Belcher of Norfolk, Robert, Jr. and his wife Cheryl Eagleston of Brockton, Brian Eagleston and his fiancé Anita Del Bianco of Fort Myers and Lori and her husband Charlie Melega of Taunton. Second father of Hugh Boyd and his wife Cindy of Mansfield, Douglas Boyd of Quincy, Stacie Neville and her companion John of Worcester and Christopher Boyd and his wife Michelle of Norwood. Devoted grandfather of Robert Belcher and his companion Nora Turner, Adam Belcher, Hugh, Sarah, Brian and Daniel Boyd. Devoted pet owner of Clyde, his late dog.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 14 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at St. Mary's Church 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
