Retired Mechanical Engineer for Bird Machine

Foxborough – Ronald Keith Allison, age 78, died at the Royal Cape Cod Rehab Center surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. He was the son of the late James R. and Peggy (Wilson) Allison.

Ron was born on October 3, 1931in Aberdeen Scotland. He was educated in Scotland Schools and was a professional soccer player in Scotland. He proudly served in the R.A.F. in England. He married his wife Gail at St. Mark’s Church in Foxborough on June 23, 1957.

He was employed for over thirty seven years as a mechanical engineer at Bird Machine in Walpole. He was a resident of Foxborough for the past forty eight years and spent his summers at his home in Onset for the past forty four years. He was a member of the Mason’s for fifty years and was a member of the St. Alban’s Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Foxborough.

Loving husband of Gail Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Allison. Devoted father of R. Keith Allison and his wife Jayne (Coburn) of Onset and the late Cameron B. Allison. Brother of Betty Smith of Scotland. Also survived by his beloved Scottish Terrier Tammy.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Sunday, July 25, from 5 to 8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. For additional information please dial 508 543-5471.
