Marie (McKay) Peavey

Marie (McKay) Peavey, age 73, of Norton, formerly of Foxborough passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 after a long illness. She passed away in her home and was surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the wife of Ralph V. Peavey, II for 52 years. Marie was the mother of Cheri (Peavey) Lynch and her husband Luke of Franklin, Ralph Peavey III and his wife Diane of North Attleboro and Joseph Peavey and his wife Theresa of Pawtucket. Adam, Jared and Laura Lynch of Franklin, Lily Peavey of Pawtucket and Nicholas Peavey of North Attleboro all called her “Grandma”. Marie was sister to Alice McNamara, Warren McKay and Grace Wolstencroft of Foxborough and John McKay of New Mexico. Sister of the late Charles, Thomas, William Raymond and Margaret McKay and Mary Lunn. Marie was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marie was active in girl scouts and cub scouts when her children were younger.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and reading. Marie was a graduate of Foxborough High School, Class of 1956. She enjoyed traveling in the United States and Nova Scotia. Her favorite hobby was that of genealogical research of the McKay family, of which she met several relatives in Nova Scotia.

Funeral Information

A wake will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 1-4 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 4 PM at the funeral home.
