Michael J. Tuohey, Jr.

Foxborough-Michael J. Tuohey, Jr., age 66, passed on Monday, July 5, 2010 at his home in Foxborough. He was the son of the late Michael “Joe” and Anne “Helen” (Hughes) Tuohey.

Michael was born on November 26, 1943 in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. He was a former communicant of Mission Church and a graduate of Mission High School in Boston. He has been a resident of Foxboro since 1976.

A member of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589, he was a Construction Inspector for the MBTA in Boston for many years. He was also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He loved to travel and was a strong supporter of Foxborough youth sports. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

Beloved father of Michele M. and her husband Ryan Staats of Milton and Michael J. Tuohey III and his wife Meredith of Plymouth. Former husband of Rosemary (Rennie) Tuohey of Mashpee. Loving grandfather of Erin and Morgan Tuohey. Brother of Susan (Tuohey) Ricker of NH. Cousin of Paul Andrews of Jamaica Plain and the late Thomas Hughes.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 9, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church on Carpenter St. in Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
