Ruth Alicia Massicott

July 29, 1927 - October 17, 2017

Retired Pawtucket Educator

Massicott, Ruth Alicia (Donnelly), 90, passed, Tuesday, October 17, 2017, wife of the late Albert J. Massicott.

Ruth was born in Providence on July 29, 1927 and was a graduate of Rhode Island College, Class of 1949.  She was a teacher in the Pawtucket School Department for thirty nine years and was a critic teacher for Rhode Island College. She was a secretary for Delta Kappa Gamma. She was an art teacher for the City of Pawtucket playgrounds and was a member of the Pawtucket Community Players.  She was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. 

Beloved sister of Anne Donnelly Rogers D’Agostino and her husband Alan G. D’Agostino of Pawtucket, and the late Faith Donnelly Ove and her late husband John S. Ove, and the late Paul Donnelly. Loving aunt of J. Michael Ove and his wife Louise of Austin, TX and their son John M. Ove, Jr. and his wife Tonia and their daughter Christine N. Ove Cross and her husband Michael, Christopher P. Ove of Apex, NC, and Sue Ellen Ove Banko of Raleigh, NC and her son Jordan, and great aunt of Ryleigh J. Ove. 

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, October 21, 2017 starting at 8:45 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough.  Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.  For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.  To light a special candle in Ruth’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at www.robertsandsonsfuneralhome.com
