Arthur T. Flynn Jr.

November 14, 1935 - July 10, 2010

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather

Foxborough – Arthur T. Flynn, Jr., age 74 died Saturday, July 10 at Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Arthur T. Flynn, Sr. and Frances C (Reagan) Flynn.

Arthur was born on November 14 , 1935 in Boston and graduated from JP High School of Commerce. He proudly served his country in the Army during Vietnam. He was employed as a supervisor at New England Telephone. Arthur married his wife Marilyn (Towne) on January 21, 1977 in Seabrook, NH. Arthur enjoyed woodworking and gardening and spent half of the year in Fort Myers, FL. He was a dedicated Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Beloved husband of Marilyn Flynn. Devoted father of Sean and his wife Cheryl Flynn of N. Attleboro, Michael and his wife Debra Gerraughty of Mansfield, Susan and her husband David Bieksha of Norton, Daniel and his wife Wendy Flynn of Tiverton, RI, Kelly and her husband Marty Lonergan of N. Attleboro and Erin and her husband Tim McCarthy of Foxborough. Also survived by his children from a previous marriage; Arthur and his wife Carol Flynn of Sandwich, Timothy and his wife Amy Flynn of Walpole, Michael and his wife Robin Flynn of Wareham and Andrea Flynn of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of Connor, Nicole, Emily, Jake, Molly, Cameron, Jenna, Maxx, Taylor, Tori, Michaela, Kelli and Grace. Brother of Evelyn Burke of Wilmington and the late William Flynn, Walter Flynn and Virginia O’Leary.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 14, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough followed by military honors. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
