Edward Richard Kelley

January 18, 1948 - April 11, 2017

Loving and Devoted Husband, Father and Papa

Edward R. Kelley, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. He was the son of the Late William and Mary (Fagan) Kelley.

Edward was born in Boston on January 18, 1948 and was a graduate of Boston Technical High School. He was also a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He and his wife Kathleen were married in 1971 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Boston. They have been Foxborough residents for the past twenty -four years.

Edward was an accountant for the Gillette Corporation in South Boston until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed traveling around the country visiting all 50 states and many Major League baseball parks. In his younger days Edward enjoyed camping with his family and friends. His greatest joy in life  was being a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Beloved husband of forty five years to Kathleen (Coughlan) Kelley. Loving father of Scott Kelley and his wife Doreen of Foxborough, Brian Kelley and his wife Jennifer of Mansfield, Patrick Kelley and his wife Jennifer of Foxborough, Shaun Kelley and his wife Lauren of Denver and Katie Pinabell and her husband Bryan of Quincy. Devoted Papa to Kevin, Thomas, Dylan, Anthony, Owen, Emma, Liam, Grace, Connor and Katelyn. Brother of Linda Kelley of Foxborough and the late Lois Yannizzi.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street in Foxborough, MA 02035. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street in Foxborough. Interment with U.S. Air Force honors to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery  in Foxborough.
