Elaine M. Freeman

October 23, 1940 - May 31, 2010

Foxborough – Elaine M. (Pitts) Freeman, age 69 died Monday, May 31 at the Maples Nursing Home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Elaine was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (McGuire) Pitts.

Elaine was born on October 23, 1940 in Boston and grew up in Everett and Malden where she lived for more than 65 years before moving to Foxborough in 2007. She was a 1959 graduate of Everett High School and attended a semester at Harvard University night school for general business. She was a retired receptionist and worked for Boston Edison, St. Johnsbury Trucking and Guertin & Associates.

Elaine married her husband Frederick A. Freeman, Jr. on May 8, 1965 at St. Therese Church in Everett. They made their home in Malden where they raised their three children. Elaine was a wonderful mother, aunt and grandmother. She was a life long Red Sox fan.

Beloved wife of Frederick A. Freeman, Jr. Devoted mother of Kathy Mazzone of Lowell, James Freeman of Foxborough amd Michael Freeman of Stoughton. Loving grandmother of Robert Mazzone. Sister of Robert Pitts and his wife Liz of Williamsburg, VA.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 3, from 4 to 8 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on June 4 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.
