Timothy "Ted" Roche

March 03, 1933 - April 26, 2017

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather

Medway-Timothy “Ted” William Roche, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Medway Country Manor surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late John and Margaret (Ring) Roche, both natives of Ireland.

Ted was born in Cambridge, MA on March 3, 1933 and attended Boston College. Ted proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Airforce. He and his wife Mary (Donaldson) were married at St. Catherine’s Church in Somerville on May 14, 1960. They raised their family in Foxborough and have been residents of Medway for the past twenty years.

Ted worked for many years as an accountant for the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. After his retirement he worked for several years as a customer service manager at Walmart in Bellingham.

Ted was an ombudsman for several area nursing homes in his community. He was a founding member of the Foxborough Knights of Columbus, a member of the St. Mary’s Choir in Foxborough and former CCD instructor. He and his wife Mary were former members of the Side Splitters Square Dance Club.  He was most happy when spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Mary A. (Donaldson) Roche. Loving father of Gail Reiner and her husband Eric of Woodbridge, CT, James Roche and his wife Wendy of Franklin and Linda Roche and her fiancé David Betro of Franklin. Devoted grandfather of Aaron and Sydney Reiner and Chloe, Sabrina and Blaine Roche. Beloved brother of Marie Alfieri of Rockport and the late John Roche.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday May 2nd at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter St. in Foxborough. Interment to follow with United States Airforce Honors at Rock Hill Cemetery, 81 South St. in Foxborough.
