Joan Lois Muldoon

November 06, 1936 - February 28, 2017

Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

FOXBORO – Joan Lois (Odell) Muldoon, 81, a 40 year resident of Foxboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 28 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Born in Yonkers, NY on November 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Beatrice (Nevin) Odell.

Joan first lived in Yonkers, NY and she moved to Foxboro in 1976. She worked at the Foxboro Company for nearly a decade. She loved music and art. Joan was a former member of the church choir and she enjoyed sketching.  Joan was an avid New England Patriots fan and she loved her weekly trips to Twin Rivers. She traveled extensively and some of her favorite places to visit were Italy and California. She touched many people’s lives with her bright smile and sense of humor; she will be greatly missed.

Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur J. Muldoon, and her children Kevin (Karen) Muldoon of West Roxbury, MA, Michelle Cotter of Williston Park, NY, Patricia Muldoon of Arlington, MA, and Sean Muldoon of Foxboro, MA. Joan was the proud grandmother of Allison Muldoon, Sean Muldoon, Brian Muldoon, Danielle Cotter, and Katie Cotter and the doting great grandmother of Joel Muldoon. Joan was the beloved sister of Clifford Odell Sr. of East Meadow, NY, Chester Odell of Melbourne, FL, Bunny MacLeod Rogers of Cary, SC and John Odell of Wappingers Falls, NY. Joan is predeceased by her beloved brother, Theodore Odell, and her beloved sister, Linda Bartizal. Joan also adored her sisters and brothers-in law and she cherished her many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, March 5 from 11 – 2PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held at 2PM at the funeral home following calling hours.
